My August reflection

Good Afternoon Bloggers,

Today I was learning to write in my august reflection for lockdown.I learned this because it was for an online task. 

What I had to do for this task was to make a copy of a document and write in some reflections of my learning over this term.

My facts about the paralympic games

Good morning Bloggers, 

 Here we go again, another fun lockdown task.Today I was learning to create some slides about the paralympic games.We learned this because it was an online task.

What I had to do for this task was to watch a video of what the paralympic games are and write some interesting facts.

I enjoyed choosing my background and fonts I found it challenging to write some of the facts on the slides I want you to comment on anything you liked about my blog post

Roll that dice

Kia ora Bloggers 

Today for my lock down learning I had to roll a dice and whatever number it lands on I had to do a challenge. I landed on the number six the number five and the number one.

I learned this because it was for a wellbeing task. I was not sure what wellbeing meant, so my Mum told me it means doing activities that show you are looking after yourself like with your mind or body.  For number six I had to film myself doing six star jumps,number 5 was to do say something I was thankful for and number one was to draw a hand and write something that I could achieve today. I chose baking biscuits. 

 I will add a photo of my anzac biscuits when they are done. I want you to comment on anything you liked about my activities. I loved this task it was my favorite task ever because it was a lot of fun to do.

Saint Search

Kia ora Bloggers, Today I was learning to create a slide about a saint.My saint was Mary the mother of Jesus.I learned this because it is a part of our Re learning. I had to create a slide about Mary and her life. I choose Mary because she is one of my favourite saints. 

I enjoyed finding the background and doing the fonts and reading great facts about her. I found it challenging to find her actual birth and death because a lot of sites did not have information on it. I want you to comment on what you enjoyed

Cicada facts

Morena Bloggers, Today I was learning to apply knowledge by creating a fact slide about cicadas.We learned this because it was for a lockdown task. What I had to do for this task was create a slide about cicadas. 

I read a story about cicadas and that really helped me to find information. I enjoyed creating my slide. I found it challenging to write the correct information. I want you to comment on anything you liked about my slides

My heart creation

Good afternoon Bloggers.  

Today I thought that I would get out in the sunshine and create a heart shape out of rocks from my garden.

I learned this because I wanted to try it out. What I had to get was Some rocks from my garden I enjoyed getting out in the sunshine and making my creation. I want you to comment on anything you liked about my creation. I will show you a photo of my creation here it is hope you like it 

My fact writing

 Today in lock down I had to write a fact report on composting.We learned this because It was for an online task. What I had to do for this task was to write in a google doc about composting.

Composting

Have you ever heard of composting? I am going to tell you what composting is and how to use it.

What is it?

Composting is a great way to recycle by using leftover scrapes, vegetable, peels, fruit waste,plant clippings, grass cuttings and leaves that turns into compost soil.

How is it made?

You will need a  plastic bin or a wooden box. First you get a layer of brown waste like leaves,straw then another layer of green waste like fruit and vege scraps. Keep layering brown and green until you reach the top. Next add water for moisture. Add worms and then leave it to do its job.

The benefits of composting?

Composting is great for recycling our environment. We end up getting healthy plants and gardens for vegetables and flowers. It is great food for worms and insects and makes rich soil.

Conclusion

I think composting is good for keeping the environment free of more rubbish.  I have a compost bin at my house and I have seen how good it is to recycle our grass clippings and food scraps.  If we all got into it we will have one way to look after the earth.

  

My faith and trust word art

Kia ora Bloggers, Today in lockdown My online learning Was to create a word art about faith and trust.I learned this because it was for our task in lockdown. What I had to do for this task was to create a word art about what faith and trust mean. 

I put my words in shapes where you can design any words that you like. I enjoyed creating my word art. I found it challenging to remember how to writing the words in but luckily I solved it I want you to comment on anything you liked.

My amazing koru patterns

Kia ora Bloggers, Today in lockdown My online learning today is to draw some koru patterns on a piece of paper.I learned this because it was for the task I had to do today. I had to watch a video and draw some patterns from the story.

 I got a piece of paper, a pencil and crayons.And a black pen as the outline.I enjoyed coloring in my koru patterns I found it a little challenging to draw my koru patterns I want you to comment on anything you really enjoyed about my art

Today in lockdown one of the tasks was to take a photo of me reading a book. Here I am reading my chapter book noddle in the afternoon sun. I was learning to do a task for lockdown which had to be an activity outside. I enjoyed being in the warm sun.I want you comment on anything you like about my photo. Native bird scavenger hunt .

Good afternoon Bloggers, Today I had to pick a bird from a native scavenger hunt and answer questions about the bird .I chose the kingfisher.

 I had to read a fact sheet about kingfishers and answer questions by writing them in my quality blog post I enjoyed looking at the different birds and choosing one that I liked and finding information about it. I found it challenging to search for how many eggs they lay.

My funky hat creation

Good Afternoon Bloggers,

Our teacher told us to make and wear a funky hat to our google meet. My funky hat had some fake money with the word famous. I chose this hat because I liked the glitter word famous.That gave me the idea of being a rich and famous celebrity.

For this task I got the money out of the game Monopoly that had a lot of money in the box. I will take a screenshot of me wearing the famous hat. hope you think that it is creative

Dolphin Facts

Kia ora bloggers,Today in lockdown I created a slide about dolphins. I learned this because this was a part of my reading task. We have been learning to apply knowledge. We learnt this to help our story understanding. 

We had to read facts, find information in the text and write about it in a google slide. I enjoyed finding facts about dolphins and doing my picture background. My creative lockdown prayer space

This morning in our goggle meet My teacher told us to create a prayer space.On my prayer space I had camilon flowers from my garden that I made into a cross.I also Had a prayer book.And a pink candle that smells like fruit berries I also had a green towel to represent ordinary time. What I had to get Was a Towel,Flowers And a prayer book.

 I found it a little challenging to explain my prayer space.I really enjoyed creating my nature prayer space.And a pink candle that smells like fruit berries I also had a green towel to represent ordinary time. How to build a robot.

Kia ora Bloggers, Today I was learning to create a slide about robots because we are in lockdown and that means online schooling.We learned this because it was an activity for lockdown.

What I had to do for this task was solved questions that people were asking about robots and how they move . I enjoyed creating this task. I found it challenging to find information to try and solve the questions. I want you to comment on everything you might want me to change.

RE faith poster

Hello Bloggers,

In week 1 we created a Faith poster. We learned this because it was for our school value. What I had to do was get my RE book and some coloring pencils.

I had to write some quotes of what Faith looks like, sounds like and feels like.

My slides about Japan

Kia ora Bloggers, Last week I created a Slide about Japan for my reading task.We learned this because of the Olympics that were happening in tokyo japan. I want you to comment on anything that I might need to change .I was learning to find facts and information.

 

What I had to do was create a slide about Japan and grab some information from the story I was reading. I found it challenging to find the information from the story and put it in my own words.

A sweet business activity.

Kia ora Bloggers, Earlier this week we learned about bees. We learned about bees by doing a science experiment.For the science experiment we had to grab a balloon pollen and a tuning fork and a cup. What we had to do was grab all the tools that we needed. Then get in groups. 

 In my group there was Cillian,Molly and me. What my group had to do was put the purple balloon over the cup then spread the pollen on the balloon and then press the tuning fork on a hard table or desk and see if the pollen falls off the ballon on to the black card I found it challenging to to make the pollen come off the ballon.i enjoyed making the science experiment.

My reading task about the Olympics

Kia ora bloggers,On the first week back at school I created a slide about the Olympics. 

 First I had to read a book about being born to run and it was about this man in the olympics. 

 

I really enjoyed Creating my slides about the Olympics.
