It was a normal stormy dark night and the wind is whistling.Queenie is a tall teenger with amazing dlonde hair and the most dreamy blue eyes.When you look in her eyes you get lost in her dreamy eyes.

Queenie lives alone in a dark forest.She was asleep dreaming of her day tomorrow. since it is stormy she heard a big bang on her window but she didn't bother to get up she look to see what it was because she thought it was just a big brunch hitting the window.She got sick of the banging on the window so she got up and went outside to see if anyone was there but it was just a brunch so she moved it to the side.

Last week for Reading I was learning to create and draw a Rangoli.If you don't know what a Rangoli is well its a flower.What I had to do for this task was to get a piece of paper and then a pencil I had to watch a video on how to draw a Rangoli.

I found it challenging to try and draw patterns inside the flower.I enjoyed making and coloring in my flower.Next time I could change the style and colors that I put into my Rangoil.You can comment on anything you really enjoyed about my flower.I will add a picture of my Rangoli. My Saint

S A I N T Spells Saint So you know what that means another  fun RE Task.What I had to do for this task was to think of a Saint and then write on a piece of paper in our Re books of the saint that we chose.

I chose Saint Mary Mackillop because she really inspires me like a lot.I found it challenging to draw Saint Mary Mackillop from google and then color her in with the right colors.I enjoyed writing what inspired me with my saint.Next time I could change my Saint and choose a different one. I will add a picture of my prayer and my Saint.

In the past week I have been learning to make a sign about ronga my plant was manuka.First I had to paint my sign and then I had to let it dry.After It was dry i had to write on the sign of what i wrote.

Why I think school uniforms should be banned.

Last week it was speech writing.I learned this because speechers were coming up. What I had to do for this task was to pick a topic to write about. And then we had to write on our chromebooks. My speech was about why I think school uniforms should be banned. I enjoyed writing my speech because it was a great topic to write about. I found it challenging to pick my topic Because there was so many to pick from but I found my topic in the end. I want you to comment on what you thought about my speech.

Do you like wearing a school uniform? I strongly believe that school uniforms should be banned and in this speech Iḿ going to tell you why. School uniforms are too expensive, uncomfortable and they always need to be cleaned. Letś get rid of them!

Firstly, school uniforms should definitely be banned in schools because they cost too much money.  Your parents have to buy one each year because kids are growing up way too fast these days. The total of school uniforms for boys is $443 NZ dollars and for girls wait for, it is $526 NZ dollars. You can use this much money to help people in need.

Secondly, they are uncomfortable because if you are wearing shorts or skirts in the winter time your legs can get cold and you can get frostbite and other sorts of things.I also think school uniforms are uncomfortable because it's itchy and it feels tight and also loose buttons.

Lastly, school uniforms should be banned because it is time to change the style uniforms are old school. It is time to change the way we look and get that old uniform out the door and bring the new style inside and hello new trend!!!

This is why I strongly believe that school uniforms should be banned. What do you think about school uniforms? Thanks for listening to my speech.

Bouncy egg experiment

Last night I did a science experiment where I had to take an egg from my fridge and put it in a glass with vinegar.

And then leave it overnight and see what will happen.In the morning I tipped it out of the glass then rinsed it under cold water . For this task I had to grab an egg and a glass. 

 After I rinsed it it felt bouncy but it didn't work because it cracked. I enjoyed doing my experiment I found it challenging to get it to bounce. I want you to comment on anything you liked.

I had to trace my hands on to a colored paper. And then cut them out I then got a strip of paper and folded it like a fan.

Roll that dice

Today for my lock down learning I had to roll a dice and whatever number it lands on I had to do a challenge. I landed on the number six the number five and the number one.

I learned this because it was for a wellbeing task. I was not sure what wellbeing meant, so my Mum told me it means doing activities that show you are looking after yourself like with your mind or body.  For number six I had to film myself doing six star jumps,number 5 was to do say something I was thankful for and number one was to draw a hand and write something that I could achieve today. I chose baking biscuits.

Composting

Have you ever heard of composting? I am going to tell you what composting is and how to use it.

What is it?

Composting is a great way to recycle by using leftover scrapes, vegetable, peels, fruit waste,plant clippings, grass cuttings and leaves that turns into compost soil.

How is it made?

You will need a  plastic bin or a wooden box. First you get a layer of brown waste like leaves,straw then another layer of green waste like fruit and vege scraps. Keep layering brown and green until you reach the top. Next add water for moisture. Add worms and then leave it to do its job.

The benefits of composting?

Composting is great for recycling our environment. We end up getting healthy plants and gardens for vegetables and flowers. It is great food for worms and insects and makes rich soil.

Conclusion

I think composting is good for keeping the environment free of more rubbish.  I have a compost bin at my house and I have seen how good it is to recycle our grass clippings and food scraps.  If we all got into it we will have one way to look after the earth.

Good afternoon Bloggers, Today I had to pick a bird from a native scavenger hunt and answer questions about the bird .I chose the kingfisher.

 I had to read a fact sheet about kingfishers and answer questions by writing them in my quality blog post I enjoyed looking at the different birds and choosing one that I liked and finding information about it. I found it challenging to search for how many eggs they lay.

Our teacher told us to make and wear a funky hat to our google meet. My funky hat had some fake money with the word famous. I chose this hat because I liked the glitter word famous.That gave me the idea of being a rich and famous celebrity.

A sweet business activity.

Kia ora Bloggers, Earlier this week we learned about bees. We learned about bees by doing a science experiment.For the science experiment we had to grab a balloon pollen and a tuning fork and a cup. What we had to do was grab all the tools that we needed. Then get in groups. 

 In my group there was Cillian,Molly and me. What my group had to do was put the purple balloon over the cup then spread the pollen on the balloon and then press the tuning fork on a hard table or desk and see if the pollen falls off the ballon on to the black card I found it challenging to to make the pollen come off the ballon.i enjoyed making the science experiment.

My reading task about the Olympics

 First I had to read a book about being born to run and it was about this man in the olympics. 

 

I really enjoyed Creating my slides about the Olympics.

Today for science we are watching a water rocket and how high will it fly.

What I think that the rocket will fly high into the sky and then fly around then drop down. here is the link to watch the video of our science experiment click on this link right here to watch the video 

I think the rocket will go 3/4 meters because it depends on how many pumps we do to make it blast off See you bloggers.

3 2 1 ...Take off 

Have you ever used a water rocket? To use  an Aquapod what you have to do was attach the water bottle to the vale and full the bottle with water about one third then very carefully put the water bottle on top of the rocket without spilling the water. You are probably thinking whats a aquapod and how you use a water rocket well I am going to tell you how you use a launchpad.We also had to flip the launch pad upside down to put the water bottle on it.  

Firstly you have to use a aquapod you have to attach the bright  orange aquapod to the string and then pin it to the ground but first before you pin it to the ground then with your foot you have to pump so that the water bottle is ready to take off before it takes off what you have to do is watch the bubbles in the water bottle and then Our teacher told us to stand right against one of the classrooms so that it does not hit anyone.

Secondly it was time for it to fly in the air so my teacher pulled the string and it didn't go in the air so we had to try it again so we had to go back in a circle and start again so that meant we had to pump it again and this time it worked it went high but not high enough so we had another go.  

thirdly It went high then the other time I was so excited to see it go in the air it went in the air for 2 seconds and then it hit with a big thud to the ground.

Lastly  we went in side and we wrote a blog post about the experiment and it was so mesmerizing.

My mini golf course perimeter

Kia ora Bloggers Last week i was learning to create a mini golf course and find the area and perimeter. What I had to do was make a copy of the mini golf course and then start creating my mini golf course. After creating it I had to add the numbers on the side of my mini golf course. 

 I found it challenging to count and find the correct numbers to add at the side. 

 I really enjoyed creating my mini golf course and making my numbers to be correct.

Matariki magic

 Today in cybersmart My class created a Matariki scratch project.I choose a character i choose a Giga witch is a little cute person.My background is a galaxy background i choose it because it was for matariki and i thought i was great my background. First i had to click the create and i got started the first thing i did was choose my character and my background was next up the background i choose was a galaxy background. My character had to go from the other side to the yellow star and i thought it was amazing.     

  

How mountains are Formed.

Last week for  explanation writing we got to choose our own topic for writing I chose my topic to be about how mountains are formed. 

We had to research our topics on Kidzsearch to get some information for our topics. I got a little bit of information from Kidzsearch but i had to put it in my own words.

How mountains are formed?

Do you know how mountains are formed? I am going to tell you all about how mountains are formed and produced.

Firstly mountains are made by an earth crust that is caused to push up in a big fold that is forced to build up in blocks.

Secondly, mountains are also white that are slippery and the coldness of the mountains makes them freeze into ice. The mountains can connect together if its too cold.

Lastly plateaus are flat areas that are formed in high places and mountains are higher than 600 meters. Mountains also connect up together and breaks into big ice cube that causes it to stay together for an hour and then turns into black because the white can cause it to freeze. All of the coldness can make the mountains be really frozen.

Now you see how a mountain is formed because the Earth´s crust pushes together by the crust causing it to be cold.

How rain is formed

Today I was learning to puddish my writing about how rain is formed. I thought my writing was a really good piece of writing because i think it was a really amazing piece of writing. I had to publish my writing in a google doc from my writing book and i think my writing i really enjoyed it. I found nothing challenging. Have you guys written about how rain is formed?

How rain is formed 

Do you know how rain is formed? I am going to tell you 3 reasons how rain is formed. Rain is formed by the water cycle.

Firstly the sun heats up the water and evaporates it . The water vapor rises into the sky. Because these gases are lighter than liquid.

second The rain falls from the cloud on the ground and turns into little droplets and condertenson  grows clouds.

Thirdly the cloud grows and turns the condontertion into rain. One raindrop = One million vapper drops. And the sun gases behind the cloud and that causes it to run The raindrops on the ground that makes the plants ro.also makes the sun bright and the water cycle to burst and let the cloudburst well.

In consultation The rain cycle starts with the sun heating up and the water which 

causes gas called vapperrises up into the sky. and the vappernatshin comes and cuts off the pip that helps the rain stop and the sun  still stays in the cloud until it stops.

My best Samoan prayer ever

Talofa lava Bloggers today for my homework I had to create a video of me saying a prayer in Samoan. We learned this because it was Samoan language week. A catchy slide about a covenant

 Kia ora bloggers. Today I was learning to create a slide about a covenant my class had to get into groups of three In my group I had Unaise Mikaela and me. What we had to do was write in the slides about what is a covenant. My group found it challenging to think about what to write about a covenant. My Amazing role play of abram and Sarah

Kia ora bloggers, in my class i was learning to make a role play about Abram and sarah. In my group there were Irelyn, Ruby, Ocean, and me. What we had to do was get dressed in our characters. I was Sarah, Ocean was abram, Ruby was God and Irelyn was the nattorer. I have been learning all about abram and sarah and how they promised God to have a baby. My tropical Paradise writing

 Hey bloggers on monday my class had to write a story about a beach image we had to describe what was in the image hope you guys enjoy reading my story hope you like it see you bloggers.

As I walked on the salty fresh beach I could smell the cold mild breeze against my face and blowing my hair around the place.

The hot sun is burning my eyes. I can see the soggy green mountains in the background and the clear crystal blue water.

I could hear the waves crashing together and white boat engine revving across the water and I could also hear the coconuts falling  off the trees down to the soft sand and the waves fizzing to the shore.

I could feel the strong breeze  on my back and the warm sun on my face it was so hot that I went in the cold water I could feel the warm salty water leaning against my body it was stunning so i got out and layed on the soft sand.

I could taste the water in my mouth and the dirt from the mountains blowing  in the sky down on the sand. 

 

Mothers Day Weaving heart

Mothers Day yay ... 

 Hey bloggers before mothers day i created a love heart weaving card for my Mum my favorite part of my heart is the weaving.

 The first thing we did was get the piece of card or paper and trace a paper heart carevely then we had to grab a skewer and poke holes with the skewer. 

 

I found it quite challenging to weave my heart through each hole and back through another hole but i got there. 

 I enjoyed create my heart and giving it to my Mum i also liked the way i created and got some help by my teacher and the student teachers

Hey bloggers Today i was learning to create a post card if i was in world war one for my parnets i found it challenging to write my postcard and find the perfect font but i got there.I also enjoyed finding my postcard and stamp and finding my font hope you like it see you bloggers.

What is it

hey bloggers yeasterday i was learning in cybersmart and inguiry to create a slide of what is it and put some old images from the web then get the same image but new. our cysbersmart teacher Miss Torrie showed us what to do and then i started the first thing i did was make a copy of the slide then get started.The first thing i did was get the images from the wed and select it to the slide i found it challenge to find the correct images and put it in the little shapes.

My Amazing Bedroom story

 My Cozy Bedroom 
My favorite part of my house is my comfy bedroom because I don't have to share a  room with my sister and it is peaceful with a nice view and doesn't get disturbed.
I have a large room in the middle of my room and it is hard to get past.But I love it just the way it is.
My room is the cleanest in the house unlike my sisters room and my parents love tidy rooms. The thing I like about my room is the fairtyb lights and my photos on the walls  every single day. My room smells like roses because there is a rose bush right outside my window. I could hear an owl hooting in the trees.
 Senses are all over my room like purfem diffusers and candles whenever I go to sleep. My bedroom smells amazing. It made me feel
inside that this is where I should be. I could taste the purfem in my mouth.
Overall my bedroom is the coziest warmest room in the house. I can taste purfem around my room.I can feel rose petals on my arm and I feel relaxed.

My Horouta waka story animation

Hello bloggers In march i created a horouta waka animation i had to duplicate the slides and write some facts about the waka and them sailing to new Zealand facts had to be about paoa kiwa hinehakirirangi and hinekua.i found it challenging to create and duplicate the slides hinehakriangi carried the kurma and paoa and kiwa sailed the waka but when they stop at haraki the boat snapped so paoa and kiwa went and search for some wood to fix the waka. see you bloggers

My wreath is about jesus

kia ora bloggers Last week in class i created a wreath to represent jesus and easter sunday my wreath is all about jesus first jesus rode on a donkey to bethlehem.  and then he broke the bread for his disciples and drank the wine on good friday jesus dies for us and raised. back up again on easter sunday. see you bloggers 

Hot Cross bun collage experience

Kia ora bloggers In week 10 last week my class made a big hot cross bun so did all of the other classrooms we had to use a bread maker because the other classes were using the oven in the staffroom. the ingredients that we used was an egg an orange flour whole meal flour yeast and raisin.my class had a job each My job was pouring the egg in the breadmaker from the bowl and washing some bowls and the spoons.finally it was time to take the hot cross bun out of the bread maker and place it on a cloth with a candle ready to eat but first we had to sit in a connected circle and say pray after pray it was time to reveal cut open hot cross bun it looked so good there was jam and butter we could choose what we wanted i choose butter to put on my hot cross bun it tasted delightful.see you soon bloggers

2 weeks ago i was learning how to create and finsh my whale watercolur art work i found it challenging to draw my whale and die the background the sea colurs in the picture because i had to mix the light blue in the water to make look like light blue sea water i enjoyed painting my lines white and my whale a light and dark blue
